If you enjoy having a a cocktail every so often, keep your money at home if you plan to do your consuming in a casino. I’m serious. Clean out your evening bag, your billfold, and keep all money, credit cards and checks out of the casino. Pack whatever cash you expect to spend on alcohol, tipping and only the pocket change you expect to burn and leave the rest behind.
Cynical? Absolutely not. Just realistic. You might have a win after a drunken night out with your friends and be blessed sufficiently to catch a long roll at a smokin craps table. Don’t forget that story because it is as short-lived as it gets if you continuously consume alcohol and bet. These activities simply don’t mix.
Leaving your cash out of the casino might be a bit drastic, but defensive actions for drastic actions is necessary. If you wager to win, then do not drink and play. If you like to be wasteful with your cash without a concern, then drink all the complimentary booze your stomach are able to handle, but do not carry charge cards and checkbooks to throw into the mix of chasing squanderings after your drunken head throws away every little thing!
Let me to take this one step more. Don’t drink alcohol and then head online to gamble in your favorite internet casino either.
